Student life at NYU-Poly is truly dynamic and vibrant. It has nearly 40 students organizations. To name a few some are Lambda Chi Alpha, Alpha Phi Omega, Nu Alpha Phi, and Omega Phi Alpha. All the students of Poly Institute and also affiliated students get an opportunity to participate in the ROTC program of U.S. Air Force, headquarters being in Manhattan College. Students also get a chance to actively participate in athletics.
